Bert is part of an emerging pool of talent being produced by SBG affiliated Porrada MMA, under Head Coach Kev Taylor. Currently balancing a part-time laboring job with his father and studying for a personal training qualification, he is still admirably dedicated to MMA and finds all the time he can to train. Despite his challenges he insists on being as active as possible, his most recent performances have lead to a two fight win-streak and have opened the door to some great opportunities. Having recently just missed out on two close fought amateur title fights, on both UKFC and Cage Warriors Academy Wales, he'll be back in the new year with even more hunger and determination than ever. As an individual Bert has a very likeable personality and remains calm, respectful and quietly confident at around fight-time plus is considerably active on social media.
Branden 'Brass Knuckles' Guest - Amateur MMA Champion
Team: The Unit
Competes in: MMA / BJJ / Boxing
Fights out of: Doncaster - England
Amateur MMA Record: 5-1-0
Pro MMA Record: N/A
Weight(s): Light Heavyweight / Heavyweight
Branden was made for MMA. This is clear from his dedication, his self-belief and his capabilities, but even more so from his performances thus far in his combat sports career. He has spent around 17 years training, inspired by his father who was an international kickboxing champion himself, he took up the family sport at just 6 years old. He then switched to MMA just 6 years ago, and he has amassed four victories with only a single defeat, and has picked up light heavyweight amateur titles under Almighty Fighting Championships and Golden Ticket Fight Promotions. In addition, during this time, he suffered a dislocated knee, but not be put off by an injury he still remained active by taking up boxing in which he is now 2-0 with hopes of building on this too. Plus he has competed in BJJ tournaments achieving a number of golds including one at Empire Grappling. By day he studies to be an electrician, but we suspect if he continues on his current path he's destined for much bigger things.

Charlotte 'Killer' Cooper - Amateur Female MMA Champion
Team: ASW Manchester
Competes in: MMA
Fights out of: Stockport - England
Amateur MMA Record: 5-1-0
Pro MMA Record: N/A
Weight(s): Bantamweight
Having only started training in kickboxing around 2015, initially for no other reason than to get back into fitness a few years after the birth of her son, and then making the switch to MMA just 4 years ago you couldn't be blamed for labelling Charlotte a 'late bloomer'... but what a 'bloomer' this girl is!
She has made an awesome start to her amateur career charging through almost all of her competitors, clenching UFL and Caged Steel titles along the way, and earning her ring name "Killer" for seemingly obvious reasons given her most recent performances in the cage. Charlotte recently made the move to ASW Manchester, after building an awesome MMA foundation over at 12 Gauge, she is committed, enthusiastic and truly exciting to watch, plus she is definitely someone who we believe will achieve big things in the future.
Connor Walsh - Amateur MMA Champion
Team: MMA Academy Liverpool / KC Fightbase
Competes in: MMA
Fights out of: Liverpool - England
Amateur MMA Record: 5-1-0
Pro MMA Record: N/A
Weight(s): Flyweight
If you don't already know Connor Walsh we have no doubt you soon will, he's a young and massively talented flyweight competitor from Liverpool fighting out of Jason Tan's MMA Academy and KC Fightbase. Having started his combat sports journey around 7 years ago, initially with Thai boxing, where he gained a solid stand-up fighting foundation to build upon before moving over to MMA a few years later. Having trained MMA with some of the best up and coming, and established, fighters coming out of Liverpool he has developed into a powerful, dominant competitor who is sharp and explosive on the ground, whilst not only maintaining but improving his dangerous striking background. He recently won an amateur flyweight title on FCC and I am certain it's going to be the first of many titles to come home for this fantastic young prospect.

Since making the switch to amateur MMA he has dismantled his opponents with none of them managing to go the distance with him thus far, even winning the coveted FCC Amateur Featherweight Title. In terms of his day-to-day activity, Declan eats, breathes and sleeps combat sports training with his massively talented team over at Manchester Top Team, he does also work as Locksmith but insists "I work only to fund my fighting", if he is this good now whilst holding down a full time job, just imagine what he could become in the future.
Kurtis Campbell - Amateur MMA "Triple" Champion
Team: MMA Academy Liverpool / KC Fightbase / 4 Corners
Competes in: MMA
Fights out of: Liverpool - England
Amateur MMA Record: 8-1-0
Pro MMA Record: N/A
Weight(s): Featherweight / Lightweight
Kurtis took his first steps into combat sports with Muay Thai at the age of 7 years old, during which time he accrued a very impressive 43 wins and zero losses. He made the switch to MMA at around 13 years old, still occasionally competing and coaching Muay Thai, and he clearly carried his previous success across to this sport with him. As an amateur MMA athlete he constantly pushes to improve his game, spending to choose his time amongst a number of fantastic fight teams in the Liverpool area. He has accrued a 7-1 record, picking up three prestigious amateur tiles, across three different weightclasses, along the way; a currently unmatched feat throughout the UKMMA scene.
Kurtis, a.k.a The Pink Panther, is a very likable character too, clearly very friendly, humble and appreciative of the support offered by those around him, but when that cage door closes there is a change, it suddenly becomes all about "the business" for him and he, in turn, becomes a very dangerous opponent. He has outstanding striking with a ground game to match, he is composed when in danger and that has ensured his success against some of the best amateur talent that is out there today. For us the potential of a UFC signing for this young athlete is more a question of 'when' and not 'if'.
Malichi Edwards - Amateur MMA Champion
Team: Manchester Top Team
Competes in: MMA
Fights out of: Manchester - England
Amateur MMA Record: 3-0-0
Pro MMA Record: N/A
Weight(s): Welterweight
As a 6'4'' amateur welterweight Malichi is as imposing as he is dangerous when the cage door shuts. Having trained in Thai boxing from the age of 16 years old, and MMA for the last two years, he has developed into an impressive and skilled striker, who uses range management to control his opponent and take the fight where he wants it to go. He is dedicated to the sport in it's entirety, when he is not working on sharpening his own skills he is a prominent team member at one of Manchester's best facilities, Manchester Top Team. There you will find Malichi offering PT sessions, coaching the kids, helping oversee the team's 'Couch to Cage" programme and beginners classes too. He is also now the UKFC Amateur Welterweight Champion and part of the team's fantastic Mentors Scheme, whereby key team members encourage further education and assist teenagers in gaining qualifications, we couldn't ask for more from this young athlete at the start of what could be a very exciting career.
Ryan McNally - Amateur MMA Competitor
Team: HAMMA
Competes in: MMA / BJJ /Boxing
Fights out of: Wigan - England
Amateur MMA Record: 6-3-0
Pro MMA Record: N/A
Weight(s): Middleweight
Ryan is a promising amateur MMA fighter, and full-time labourer, from Wigan who fights under the tutelage of HAMMA head coach Sean Martin. He is explosive, tremendously powerful and quickly becoming a "blink and you'll miss it" kind of fighter with all 3 of his most recent wins coming within the first minute of round one. He took a bit of a rest from MMA some time back to focus on what became a successful amateur boxing stint, racking up an 8-4 record, but now he's back with the intention of focusing on BJJ (No-Gi) competitions and MMA titles anywhere and everywhere... and we believe that as he gains experience he could go out there and take them!
Teddy Stringer - Amateur MMA Champion
Fighter: Teddy Stringer
Team: 4th Dimension MMA / Squad Jiu Jitsu
Competes in: MMA / BJJ
Fights out of: Chesterfield - England
Amateur MMA Record: 13-6

Having been training for around 6 years, competing in BJJ but focusing mainly in his MMA career Teddy is no stranger to combat sports. In fact he is the most experienced amateur in the UK. Throughout his time competing he has fought a "who's who" list of both regional and global talent, becoming an IMMAF quarter finalist, Almighty FC Amateur Lightweight Champion and UKFC Amateur Lightweight Champion. When not working on his own improvement he is a personal trainer and coach at Squad Jiu Jitsu, he ran the kids programme for several years and now focuses on 1-2-1 sessions in BJJ, MMA and Kickboxing. There's a bright future ahead for this very game and very talented young fighter.
Tyler The Slim Reaper Derbyshire - Amateur MMA Competitor
Team: SBG Rochdale
Competes in: MMA / BJJ
Fights out of: Middleton - England
Amateur MMA Record: 1-1-0
Pro MMA Record: N/A
Weight(s): Flyweight
Tyler, a.k.a The Slim Reaper, is literally as promising as they come having been training in BJJ since being around 7 years old and competing for around 8 years. At just 16 years old he has amassed a wealth of experience that would make many adults in their '20-somethings' envious. He won both national and European junior titles in BJJ before making a switch to MMA at just 13 years old, training under UKMMA pioneer Martin .50 Cal "Stapes" and representing SBG Rochdale. During the last 3 years he's competed in multiple competitive interclubs, made his junior MMA debut on one of the biggest stages in Belfast under Cage Conflict and at 15 and went to the IMMAF World Championships. The kid oozes confidence, but not cockiness as he's humble too, he is slick and dangerous in all areas of the game, plus he has an army of followers that make him feel invincible, and if his first non-junior matchup on UKFC was anything to go by, then he just might be.
Žygimantas Ribinskas - Amateur MMA Competitor
Team: Fight Factory
Competes in: MMA / BJJ
Fights out of: Heywood - England
Amateur MMA Record: 3-1-0
Pro MMA Record: N/A
Weight(s): Light Heavyweight / Middleweight
Zygis (Pronounced - Ziggy), is an amateur powerhouse and a great prospect. Originally from Lithuania, Zygis moved to the UK in 2010 and is now a foreman in the Civil Engineering industry. He didn't find his place in MMA until he ventured to Fight Factory, a great facility ran by FCC British and European champion Kenneth Richardson in 2018, but once there he knew it was for him. After less than 4 years of training in BJJ he has achieved a purple belt, and placed in many grappling events racking up over 7 gold medals and a champions belt aswell. Given the set-backs everyone faced throughout 2020 and the COVID related lockdowns he is now on a mission, looking to cut to a more natural weightclass for his size whilst being extremely active and focusing on both MMA and BJJ alike. Definitely one to watch!.
If you know a combat sport athlete who isn't listed and still wish to pursue sponsorships then we may be able to help with that too.
